High Marshal Sigfeird Posted October 4, 2009 Author Share Posted October 4, 2009 Thankyou hopefully i'll have more pics of it this evening, the sword comes from 2 bloodletter blades combined as one, i cut and smoothed down to edges and then glued them together.Forming a larger blade, i chose these because i think it looks moe like a form of ice blade. High Marshal Sigfeird Posted October 4, 2009 Author Share Posted October 4, 2009 Oki finally got somthing to show, what i have been working on while i wait for the shoulder pads for my Smurf commander. The sword is pretty much done, now gs filled in and smothed, out and the second lot of runes are on the blade. High Marshal Sigfeird Posted October 5, 2009 Author Share Posted October 5, 2009 Ahh thanks commander sha'son, i thought it just popped with that as a chest plate. Ok a few udates on progess, the models together almost, i.e arms,legs,head etc workin on a wolf pelt cloak for his back, got the wolf claw in palce already where i want it, i've redone the leg plate armour smoothing it out on his back legs, i need to do the same with his upper leg, but that i can do tomorrow. Hes got his arm mounted bolter on his arm, just need to gs the gaps there and make a suitable back for it. For the head i only gs a lil goatee (Sp?) on it the base wise what hes standing on will be ice of sorts and then water effect for more. I think i've done a good job paint wise, but then im biased :unsure:. I decided to try the technique of weathering, and chipping the armour, and well as the space wolves are basically space vikings and scrap ALLOT!, i thought why not. And i think it really makes the model pop. Commander Sha'son Posted October 11, 2009 Share Posted October 11, 2009 The model almost begged to be painted with the darker grey color scheme. But alas... Not my model... good job on it. The wolf pelts and the face are nicely done. I would say that the only let down is the light colored armor. However that is a matter of taste... And well the grey i followed to the letter in the recent WD, and i gotta say i like it more icey effect.
