Terminator squad

As I´m busy renovating my newly purchased house I haven´t really had the time to work on my rhinomonster. Instead I´ve been relaxing with 2 squads of terminators, and the first is now ready for paint :D

Allthough I´m using Crimson/Imperial Fist shoulderplates I´m not gonna paint it blue or yellow (it might have some connection to Imperial Fists though - I haven´t completely decided yet).

Hope you like it - please give me all the criticism you can think of :P

Very impressed by the head and the sculpting on the communications mic. Very nice! It's the little details like that which I think makes a model stand out.

ditto that. i two was impressed.

but i guess i have to ask where that head is from. is it from the catachan command squad box set? or perhaps a shaved down space wolves head?

you got a good start. looking forward to seeing more of it.

edit: im pretty sure its from the new space wolves sets isnt it?

Very nice-

What with all of the skull'n'crossbones motif, you could actually paint this one-man bastard squad up as a member of the Legio BXC!!

I say go for it.

My own preference is that even a TH/SS fella has a StormBolter hangin' off a strap somewhere on him...at some point, you know he's gonna bury his T-Hammer in some unlucky IC's torso, and be unable to retreive it...;)

Then again, that's just my preference. Wonderful posing, excellent use of a characterful face.

@verpine: It´s straight from the box, so with a bit of fiddling around you can easily make a terminator in the same pose.

@tutteman: Steal away :D

@nemesis weapon: I actually considered this because I really want the minis to look "cluttered", but a stormbolter is just too big for him - couldn´t fit it in anywhere. I´m toying with the idea of coring a helmet and hanging it at his waist though.

@Lavaman: I have to say that I don´t really know the fluff enough to know if several medallions is a nono? However they are most likely gonna stay for 2 reasons. Allthough the pictures doesn´t really show it that well, I´ve added the medallions at angles to enhance the sense of movement and the twist in his upper torso. Also I want to make them look ancient and venerated, and I figured that decking them in distinctions helps with this (and just for the record he actually has 4 of them B)).
