jjfelber
We have Drop Pods which is sweet, but we can't put our Terminators in Drop pod. That's fine, Terminators can Deep strike themselves. However, I'm not sure if ours can. At the end of the terminator armor excerpt is says "NB - termies dont like to deep stirke" Does that mean they dont? or just don't like to? What does 'NB' mean? Can my Termies deepstrike? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180768-space-wolf-terminators/ Share on other sites
Brother Amarel
SW Terminators can't Deep Strike. They can, however, use a Drop Pod. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180768-space-wolf-terminators/#findComment-2140397 Share on other sites

Heimdal
Yes. Terminators can use a drop pod. SW DP holds 10 man Terminators counts as 2 for purpose of transport capacity ergo, 5 terminators in a DP Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180768-space-wolf-terminators/#findComment-2140411 Share on other sites
Skald_Thorgrimm
Checking ther terminator rule, it clearly states that terminators take up two seats each in transport vehicles, and cannot use rhinos or razorbacks. It does not say they cannot use drop pods (or Land Raiders, for that matter). Drop pods have a capacity of ten (not twelve as in certain other codexes). This means you can have five terminators in a drop pod. Brother Captain Kezef
we get more flexible termies but pay that off with no deep strike. It's a cost worth paying i think. stinkenheim
Lets be clear on this again (as there is an almost identical thread a few pages back) . The wording under terminator in the Space Wolve codex sates that they have a deep mistrust of teleporting into battle because of the arcane technology. That does not state that they cannot deep strike, but that they cannot enter play via teleporting. As the drop pod has the deep strike rule so does the unit deployed within it ergo terminators within the DP are able to deep strike. Its not an overly complex thing to grasp, and i really apologise if i seem to be rude, but we are getting the same threads popping up every five minutes. its either 'Why cant my lord take a frost blade in TDA', 'Do WG count towards the 10 man GH squad for special weapons' or this... Gentlemanloser
It might be better to say that SW TDA doesn't allow you to Deep Strike. You can, of course, disembark from a vehicle that arives by DS. But unlike other Marine Chapters, SW TDA doesn't allow you to Deep Strike. King Tiger
Wait.. a Wolf Lord in TDA cant take a Frost Blade? ;) I think this is becoming a new running gag ^^ I blame it on how ornate wolf lord terminator armour would be and how long it takes to dry clean huge wolf lord sized wolf pelts, by the time he fits all those fiddly ornate pieces on and his pelt has dried from the wash, the wolf guard who have less to worry about have already emptied the supply of frost blades from the armoury, leaving the lord with boring options left over.
