Imriel
All we know is Horus was first and Alpharius was last. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180772-what-order-were-the-primarchs-rediscovered-by-the-emperor/#findComment-2140546 Share on other sites
Octavulg
Not wholly true. We know some came before others. There are other topics on this - a few minutes with Searchy the servo skull would dig them up, I suspect. Lord_Caerolion
For example, Fulgrim was found very shortly after Manus (I'm assuming, given the events mentioned in Fulgrim), and Night Haunter was found after that. Phoebus
We also know that Rogal Dorn was the 7th Primarch found, Lorgar was found after Magnus, Night Haunter was found after Fulgrim, and Perturabo was one of the first Primarchs found (before Guilliman and Angron). Corvinus
We also know that Magnus the Red was found before Lorgar, seeing as how he was with The Emperor when they discovered him. Eloies
Shall we see if we can get some straight answers. Horus was the first found. Fact. Fulgrim and Ferrus was proberly found pretty much the same year or at least very close to eachother. They both met on Terra very early. I base this upon that Fulgrim visited Terra to adress his 200 Children that survied the creation of his Legion. It is only logical that he meet Ferrus on the same visit so that they could have their forge-duel for the "comming crusade" IRC. Perturabo could be the 4th to be found. Khârn says he was one of the first to be found. These are the ones we know of that was found early. It is of course pure speculation from my part in wich order they were found but I think can put this toward in a belivable way. Magnus somewhere here. He was with the Emperor when He pick up Lorgrar. Lorgrar must been early to, as I would imagine that it takes some time to make an entire legion go from worshiping the Emperor to the chaos gods. Tarik says in Horus risning that the Word Bearer has a very fine record but to get that they would have to conqer a lot of worlds. And we all know that in the begining Lorgar spent months on single worlds to make sure that they worshipped the Emperor. So I say that the Emperor did have a few words with Lorgar as soon as possible. Vulcan was found before Angron. Mortarion and Angron I should place around 50-70th year of the Emperors great crusade. Why? Becuse both legion did fight so much under the Emperor in such ways that He gave them nicknames, Dusk raiders and War hounds. These names were later changed by their primarches at their very first meeting with thier legions. Angron was proberly found before Mortarion. Conrad. Around the 100th year (or have I got this totally wrong when Fulgrim left Horus) Fulgrims legion was big enough to campagn on it's own (had fighting with the lunar wolves until they got enough manpower). Conrad learned his ways of war from Fulgrim. The Lion around the 130th year of the crusade. Luther returned to Caliban in the 147th year after the Sarosh-thing. Sarosh was proberly one of the Lion's first worlds. Alpharius last one to be found. Fact. That is all I can think of. DeSnifter
I always thought they their legion number was the order that they were found. Phoebus
It's the order they were created in. (coincidentally, though, the Imperial Fists were the seventh Legion created and Rogal Dorn, their Primarch, the seventh son the Emperor found) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180772-what-order-were-the-primarchs-rediscovered-by-the-emperor/#findComment-2149444 Share on other sites
Olaf
According to the Fulgrim book, Sanguinius was found before Fulgrim and Ferrus since he was already at the palace on Terra when the two first met. Eloies
Actually Fulgrim says that once Ferrus and Fulgrim was done with their forge-duel and returned to the Imperial Palace they meet Sanguinius for the first time. Sanguinius is bringing gifts of art and other wonders from Baal. To me it seems that Sanguinius was found just after Fulgrim and Ferrus by a few month (Fulgrim and Ferrus spend a couple of months on Terra) and just arrived to Terra to learn about the imperial ways and show his father a new pleagde of his loyalty with all the gifts he brought. Thats how I see it. Nemisor
Alpharius last one to be found. Sons of Horus
Alpharius was definitely last and the only reason he spent a lot of time with Horus was because they were really far from Terra.
