LPetersson
Personally, I'd like to suggest taking a quick look at the BoLS 30k Datasheets which has a rather excellent Space Wolf Great Company formation. Personally I think that Stubborn and Furious charge are both eminently fluffy and very much in the spirit of the Space Wolves and should be retained in a GC datasheet. Having said that, maybe limit the number of units a bit more... Having a different datasheet or different Strategic Assets/Super Saga depending on the GC is a nice idea too. Egil Ironwolf could grant an extra 3" movement for all vehicles as if they had an Iron Priest with Saga of the Iron Wolf, Ragnar's Company would all have Furious Charge if removed from the general data sheet, Logan's could have relentless on all Long Fangs, Bran Redmaw could get cheaper MotW or be allowed to have more of them... Anyway, just some ideas. and remember Apocalypse is about big and crazy. Hfran Morkai
The problem with that Great Company is it's too restrictive but I do like your idea of a general format which can then be altered by the style of the lord (using canon names but obviously players can change a name) which would mean the points cost would have to be quite significant. I'm thinking limiting things. E.G. the Iron Wolf's bonus only applies to Land Raiders and is limited to say six Land Raiders of any varient and Rag's would only affect Blood Claws. Cheers for the inspiration people. I'll post something up once I've got it outlined and we can work on it from there. I disagree. These USR's are far more rare and difficult to employ in 5th edition than before. Think about it: If the Blood Angels (for which Furious Charge was specifically adapted for) can't apply the ability to the whole army anymore - then why in the Emperor's name should the Space Wolves have it? USR's are very, very powerful and should only be employed in much smaller formations. That being said, stubborn and FC together is incredibly potent, and probly should be about 200pts for the formation by itself.
