Oldenhaller
Then, I followed the same pattern for Assault/Skyclaw, Bike/Swiftwind, Dev/LF. The big variable was that by including a WG as the Sergeant, the weapon options for that one model was simply superior in every way to the SM Sergeant. In my eyes, this makes the SW better. So, on paper, the SW Codex SEEMS a little better, but not by leaps and bounds. Even better the skyclaws can't have a sargeant like that so I'm guessing the assault squad wins.... It's all about finding the balance in there. There are downsides to the marine codex as much as there are downsides to the wolf codex. Has anyone looked at how they match up vs other races rather thaan the marine on marine fragfest which is occuring currently? ~O Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180859-well-i-dont-know-what-they-were-expecting/page/3/#findComment-2143062 Share on other sites
the great beaver
exactly...space wolves characters and unit leaders get lots of options and flexibility because the rest of the army doesn't have as much flexibility or options. everything else we have that isn't common to all space wolves is solely good at the short ranged fire fight and CC and we pay out the nose for that CC prowess.
