Wolf Guard Predicament

So a little while before the new dex came out (sometime in July) I bought a pack of Assault Termies and a Terminator Conversion kit from Forgeworld and now that the new codex is out I'm placed in a predicament. I have glued, primed and base coated all of my Terminators with twin Wolf Claws. Two things wrong there: I have no ranged ability and it seems with the new codex I essentially have to since, in order for me to play my wolves as they now want to be played, they all have to have different combination's of weapons and you can't have much variation between wolf claws and storm shield and thunderhammer combos and power swords and such... and I have no ranged ability (which isn't so bad since I play them with a Crusader which is all the firepower I need).

Should I simply fork out another $60 bucks to nab some ranged weaponry from the new Terminator set and have a couple extra termies lying around for Lone Wolves and such or just play em as is?

The real thing that's getting to me is the assault cannon; when I heard the new Wolf Guard got a tricked out belt fed assault cannon I flipped (anything belt fed makes me flip) but I'm so sure I want to spend on top of the "whopping" (quotations because technically I'm used to paying alot of money in this hobby :D) $85 dollars without tax and shipping for a singular weapon I like, a few extra nice models and some extra satisfaction at the field.

Thanks for your time/comments/boo hissing (I failed to Return the Call of the Great Hunt so boo it up I suppose*)

Yup, Independent Characters only, so no worries man. Now, if you asked Phil Kelly, he'd prolly say that his intent was that no elites or hq's had the exact same wargear, but we all know that Gdub's games developers and codex writers don't actually play the game outside the White Dwarf promo game, or else they wouldn't put so many confusing things into their books.
