whitewolfmxc
As topic , i run a 13th company army , so i was thinking using a Giant werewolf model as count as canis wolfborn , so obviously the model has the be big enough (and scary enough) to fit the base and the role so any good models out there ? it would be nice to know thier sizes too Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180975-good-werewolf-models-out-there/ Share on other sites

asmodai650
older metal models are larger, but smaller than a dreadnought. The newer plastics are a little bit smaller though. Rackham is still going strong, just not as strong in the U.S. Check out eBay and you'll probably find some good deals on there if your local shop doesn't sell them. Personally I would get the metal figures if possible, they are fabulous models and the range is far greater than the plastics. Hordes warp wolf is a huge model when compared to 40K scale. dublindawg
For the privateer press models, unless they are humans, the models are pretty much on 40mm bases as they are larger. The human models are 28mm tall and the werewolves are bigger. Brother-Captain Sicarius
how about rat ogres, with some small modifications ofc., on a 60mm base with some scenery on it so it dont look to empty  think it could work and a few more of them for TWC ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180975-good-werewolf-models-out-there/#findComment-2142951 Share on other sites
Thorgad
After looking around a bit I couldn't locate it, but I've seen a Wulfen model made from the body of a krootox, the head and tail of a fenrisian wolf, and a bit of green stuff. It was actually far, far better looking than it sounds, and I've actually contemplated using a similar conversion to portray Thunderwolves. Grey Mage
The reaper "Lupines" look pretty darn good for werewolves, and are significantly larger than a marine, but nowhere near big enough to fill a 60mm base by themselves. Its their warlord line. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180975-good-werewolf-models-out-there/#findComment-2142980 Share on other sites

Token
The warhammer skaven rat ogres make pretty good werewolves, with a goblin wolfrider wolf head, need some greenstuff fur in between the head and body, and some more fur to cover the wounds and boil stuff. The tail also needs fixing, either fur the rat tail up or use a wolf tail. I have built a few to use as werewolf ogryns. Loki-LaughingDeath
I would go for the Worg Models from Rackham if you can find them anymore. Rackham went ahead and discontinued their ENTIRE METAL LINE. Reason why I stopped playing Confrontation. There were 2 Lines that you might want to check out the Wolfen and the Devourers. There was also something called the Black Wolf for the Undead, but I haven't seen it and Rackham is being really slow about their new releases. That big burly guy is Y'narhl, he is supposed to be an immortal, cursed by the moon for his savagery against his own kind.
