McDevin
This is done in the Iambic Pantameter, with some alitteration much like the old anglo saxon, and norse epics. I thought that If a wolf priest was telling of old tales, this is how it would sound. This is the first part of my epic poem. Don't worry this is only the first part of the poem, There will definitly be more action and violance in this poem than both the illiad and the odyssey combined. ;) Hope yoou like it So, the sons of Russ did drop from soaring ships. Pummeling the planets soft soil with molten metal. Like Bolters' bullets they tore through the blood red sky of the dawn cutting through clouds made gold by her lushious light. It was a sight of salvation, to the Imperial guard, proudly proving where there loyalties lie. With their long lasting stand against the Chaos hords harrowing whilst their other more cowardly comrads had turned to Chaos Like a lonely man :D wandering through a desert dry as bones, Not knowing just how much longer he can live. but then he finds a well of water Filled with much relief he sighs knowing his safety is secured So at the sight of the savage spacewolves the soldiers of the imperial guard sighed with such relief Leading this large warband of wolfish warriors was the great wolflord Wselfwulf (literally meaning "wolf warrior" in old english (anglo-saxon) a most apropriate name ;) ) terror of traitors and feared by all foes he was the mightiest mortal of his time. Donned in the armor of runes and a helm shaped like a wolfs head. A frightening sight for the eyes of the enemies of man. Adding to their fears are the ferocious fangs of his frost blade always alive and flaying flesh and bones. And no matter how hard his heathenous foes try, they cannot slay him. For a storm shield guards this great man sheltering him from ev- en the worst of shells Hope you liked the first part of this later on I'll be posting more and adding to this saga bit by bit Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181036-space-wolf-epic-poem/ Share on other sites

Redbaron997
Here is one I made back in the day about when during the 13th crusade the Space Wolves and Dark Angels swore an oath of friendship: Come, Young Pups and Grey Wolves alike, And I will tell a tale of times to come. Come, a tale of wolf and lion I speak, And I will tell the future that I have seen. When the evil eye waxed nigh, And the Despoiler’s host did come. When accompanying the Great Wolf I fought, And the Evil Ones victory was naught. With the Sons of the Lion we met, The Wolf and Lion friends once more. With a mighty oath they did repent, The Wolf’s rage and the Lions anger. There I meet one such as Me, Known, as the Holder of Keys, was He. There as the blood oath was sworn, Saw, He and I, a time not yet past. A great sword once again reforged, And the lost wolves did come home. The Lion awoke with a mighty Roar, Answering alike a Wolf’s howl from times of yore. Together, the Lion and the Wolf once more, Never again to be separated by silly woes. Great Axe and Sword did swipe, The heads from Aliens and Damned alike. This we saw and knew to come, This, is the time of the Wolf and Lion Reborn. :A tale from Rune Priest Erik the Old: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181036-space-wolf-epic-poem/#findComment-2143882 Share on other sites
