Forgemaster Aurum
Here are some WIP pics of my Salamanders command squad. The crew I know they don't look overly Salamanderish at the moment but I shall try my hand at scales in the near future. this squad is to be led by Vulkan who a friend of mine has yet to give me (rotten mongrel). C+C appreciated. EDIT: how about NOW!?!?! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181048-salamanders/ Share on other sites

I really like the thunder hammer guy, would like to see them with a bit more paint. Forgemaster Aurum
Well I have Melta guy almost done but my paint seems to be too thick and he didn't turn out well. I'm still waiting on basecoating the rest. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181048-salamanders/#findComment-2145161 Share on other sites
Swordbrother
Yeah your paint is defiantly to thick, are you painting straight from the pot? Don't do that, always use some kind of palette (any plastic clean surface will work)and water it down, little bit thicker than "milk" is ideal. Remember to take a generous amount from the pot to the palette that way you can paint for a longer time with same paint and water mix and it wont dry up as quick. This may seem like a inconvenience to paint this way but its actually faster as the paint is much easier to work with and apply and the results is way better. Good luck!
