dublindawg
Well, I got some time tonight to work on my models without intereruption. Here are some of the pictures as I went along. I removed the rope belt and thinned up the waist a bit and removed some of the folds in the robes. I have attached the breast plate after removing the lower torso area. I still need to taper the sides of the front going into the waist but the glue is being slow to dry and firm up the area. Side by side of the original look of the body vs. the altered body I have added the head and pelt to the front, side and back side view rear view Here I have added some braids clipped from heads off the SW kit and filled in the mid torso and added a belt. I probably should of slimmed down the sides below the waist a bit more. And the braids will have more work done to them when I add more hair. Sorry for the quality of the pics, only have a cell phone cam and so so lighting. More to come once I figure out how to handle the arms. Brother Grius
Looks like a great start. I don't really care for that head, but your conversion work looks nice. I might suggest you check out the heads from Hasslefree Miniatures. Grey Mage
Interesting... but the PA With that head makes it look like someone let a woman into the armory, and she accidently fell into a suit from a gantryway. GWs heads are just always a larger scale compared to the body, so unless you have alot of self-done heads I think youll be dissapointed when you put this with your forces. Particularly if you want her to be an actuall Female SW- as marines all have some of that overgrown "gigantism" look to them to an extent that results in... gw dimensions lol. dublindawg
The head is from a GW fantasy model, a very old one tho. I still need to gs some hair hopefully this will give it a little more balance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181056-female-space-wolf/#findComment-2144350 Share on other sites
dublindawg
I was able to have some time this weekend to finish up the Wolf Priestess Grindal Shieldbearer. El Scotcho
She looks like "Oh :), I have to fight against that? Screw that I'm out of here" Not a bad conversion, if I can find a Kazoo body somewhere I have a go at doing one. Hrathnar Flintfang
I have to say I am loving all the female wolf conversions I'm seeing right now. It is really tempting to make a Data sheet or custom unit around Them... only problem is I don't know if I should go with the battle sisters stat line, Marines, or something in the middle... Hmmm or perhaps... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181056-female-space-wolf/#findComment-2146972 Share on other sites
The emperors chosen
I originally thought that the head was odd looking, but seeing it painted makes it look better what is the fluff for here, is she actually a female space marine, or a normal fenrisian(sp?) woman in power armor? off topic:why are so many people doing female SW now?(there is another topic floating around somewhere) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181056-female-space-wolf/#findComment-2147119 Share on other sites

Her abilility to heal and fight caught the attention of a Wolf Priest overlooking a battle, and he gambled that she was worthy of the trials to become a Space Wolf. This is about all the fluff I have so far. If I were to build a full pack of female Space Wolves I would give them Blood Claw stats and jump packs to make them valkaries. But I don't think I will take it that far. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181056-female-space-wolf/#findComment-2147131 Share on other sites
Hrathnar Flintfang
I don't know why they are, but I like it. In fact I made some stats for a Female wolf pack, so dublindawg if you keep up the good work you might just be able to field a group of fleet-footed wolfy space women running around hacking things apart. But I don't think I will take it that far. A Shield Maiden is she. Perhaps in the service of a Wolf Priest as a healer/servitor. I could buy into this without a second thought. A pack of Valkyries? Though the idea is kind of cool, it could/would be a knock off idea from the SoB's with Jump Packs (don't know the names as I never paid too much attention). However, if they were to be used as such, I could see using the SoB stats for that unit. Fluff integration on the other hand would be a bit more difficult than a Shield Maiden, IMO.
