Toasterfree
your base becomes d6+1 and then +1 for charging, you can get a max of 8. Toasterfree
you are on average going to get less attacks with MOTW then with a stanard trooper non-rending. i would use that 15 points else where. on a GH it makes sense where you are average going to break even, but i wouldnt want to drop 2 attacks just to rend Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181398-do-you-get-bonus-charge-attacks-for-motw/#findComment-2147409 Share on other sites

There is really no negative to taking Motw. Its not really worth it on a wolf guard and its definitively not worth it on Thunderwolf cavalry and on a wolf lord. 40k Junkie
I love it for a small unit of Grey Hunters. 5 GH in a Razorback one with MotW. I think that it will help make up for the low squad count in the assault. Allerka
Well, I feel silly, I've been forgetting to add the +1 attack for charging with my models that have it. ;) Not that it's made much of a difference, they usually tear through anything they're fighting in a single round anyway. I took it on my TWC unit, but more for the fact that that makes the unit fully complex (at a cheaper cost than a plasma pistol I'd never use), and I haven't really lost a noticeable amount of attacks thus far.
