Jarl Bloodwolf
while pouring through my codex i had the idea of putting a WGBL on a thunderwolf and giving him the mark of the Wulfen and a belt of russ to keep him from becoming paste before he can shed blood. mainly i just think this would be really cool looking but im wondering how effective he would be in combat. any ideas? Also since a thunder wolf mount adds to the riders characteristics would the WGBL have D6+1+1 attacks? (the D6+1 for being wulfen and the +1 for the mount) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181484-lord-of-beasts/ Share on other sites
Gorn
not sure about that one. but the wolf guard on thunder wolf would be cool, but i think that your wolf lord might deserve the thunder wolf a bit more imo. You already get Rending from TWM so gain nothing there. If you take MotW then you loose the base which includes the +1 for TWM. Not sure if you would loose the +1 for 2 CC weapons though. So I think your better off just running him with his normal attacks, base of 3 + 1 for 2 CC and +1 for TWM, thats a sure 6 on the charge. I think I would take that vs. possibly rolling a 1 and only getting 3 attacks. On the plus side you could take a SS and still get 6+1+1 for 8 attacks on the charge and a roll of a 6.
