Gorn
ok this may sound mad but...salt, yes salt (as in salt you put on your chips, or fries as you americans would call them). just put dabs of pva on the base and then dip in a bowl of salt and bobs your great wolf, you have swony bases. note: please try on old model first (i don't want to be responcible for wrecked models) and sorry for no pictures as i do not own a camera, but please try it. Be careful when using any method like this, that you are aware of the long-term treatment requirements of the solution, as it may spoil or colour over time. The best cheap method I've seen online so far is: http://www.dysartes.com/model/modelling/snowbase.php Regards, Marek Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181505-free-snow-for-your-fenrisian-bases/#findComment-2148631 Share on other sites

maznaz
yep...my bad should of thought it through. Now don't get me wrong, I love your ingenuity. I'm just putting a word of caution out that some of these solutions look great at first, but don't look so hot after some time has passed. I just think you should keep an eye on yours, and maybe see how they react to getting a tiny bit damp or being stored somewhere warm for a while before you commit too many of your miniatures to it. Growler67
Yes the Baking Soda thing works, but many already have sand or ballast (from railroad hobbies) that can be used then whitewashed if it's not already white, as an alternative.
