Levitas
I thought i'd flesh out the heroes of my great company. I've already posted the fluff from my Wolf Lord so here are the other legends of the night wolves. They have models now, but not yet painted. The new kits are just great for converting. Rune Priest -Thorstn Doomherald Doomherald is a sombre and serious figure, who with a single gaze can mortify the boldest of bloodclaws. His piercing eyes are said to see the fates of warriors, and the day they either find honor or doom - hence he carries the title Doomherald. For this he is both respected and awed, for a warrior desires to know their greatest honor. However only the bravest or most intoxicated space wolf will approach him and ask. But he will not answer unless he sees the knowledge will stir the wolf into greater deeds. Rune Priest - Hrungar Boltbringer Hrungar likes nothing more than to bring crackling lightning down upon his foes. Loud in combat as well as the feasting hall, Boltbringer is an undeniable presence. His booming laugh can often be heard echoing across the battle field as he incinerates enemies with elemental bolts. No Rune priest seems to take as much joy in his role as Hrungar, or can consume as much ale. Wolf Guard - Gunnr Quakefist The huge burly build of Gunnr Quakefist can often be found in the thick of things. Quakefist has saved his impetuous Wolf lord on numberless occasions. Smashing aside foes with his massive frame to get to his side, or swinging punishing arcs with his thunder hammer. Gunnr earned his place among the Wolf Guard during a fierce battle with a tryanid swarm. His ammo quickly ran dry as the numberless horde swarmed around his grey hunter pack. Then the ground quaked as a towering carnifex bulldozed into the pack. Gunnr jumped on the ramapging beast and thrust his chainsword so deep it got jammed in the things dense skeleton. Bellowing with rage Gunnr used what weapons he did have, his granite fists. Continually pummeling the thick head of the roaring carnifex with shuddering blows until it crashed to the ground. So earning him a place in the Wolf Guard and the name Quakefist. Wolf Guard - Mortn Dreadfang Still young in years after rising to the wolfguard from a blood claw, Mortn is a dark and dread figure with a wild gleam to his eye. Brutal and unrelenting in combat the Dreadfang lives up to his name, using every weapon available to him including feral claw and fang. His pack members view him with caution, but non the less acknowledge his skill with axe and sword. Dreadfang earned his place in a desperate battle with traitor marines from the World Eaters. His pack lead the bloody charge into the fray to break their advance. At full strength they tore into the berserkers with the fury and howls of the wild wolf. But the traitors with centuries of experience and hate cut a merciless swathe, thinning their number quickly. Chain axe met chainsword in a storm of anger, blood and juddering blades. Dreadfang was the last blood soaked survivor, scores of traitors had fell to his murderous rage. But at the price of his entire pack, who lay still amongst the gore. His heroics had allowed the grey hunters to secure victory, but Mortn was a solum figure at the great loss of his brothers. He embraced the position of Wolfguard offered to him and avoided the sealed fate of a lone wolf. As tribute Mortn took a fang from each of his fallen brothers, earning the name Dreadfang. Wolf Guard - Eryk Dawnchaser The charismatic and cunning Eryk is the wolf that hunts, often found gunning his bike under the open skies in pursuit of a fleeing foe. For the Dawnchaser is not one to give up the chase, harassing and pursuing until the enemy is ground down and blocked in. Mentor to the young swiftclaws who follow his wise direction with enthusiasm, jinking their bikes trying to keep up with his blistering pace. Eryk was always destined for greatness, quickly tempering the wolf within to harness its cunning and thirst for the hunt. Wrestles when not in the saddle he was almost permanently assigned to a swiftclaw pack as a young wolf. Earning his recognition in pursuit of a riotous speed freak ork warband who had escaped the jaws of the wolf. Eryks pack chased the warband for months across the barren desert planes, until in a deep and narrow valley he caught up with them. Swarming in between the ramshackle truks and rocks, he planted multiple melta bombs on the warlords prize battle wagon. Sustaining several wounds from ork fire, he held consciousness just long enough to see the ork vehicle explode and light up the night. The explosion painted a fake dawn, thus earning Eryk the name Dawnchaser and a place in the companies elite. Grey hunters - Tor Starsplitters pack Tor Starsplitters pack has developed a reputation for bringing down the mightiest and swiftest of tanks. Starsplitter himself is a fiery grey hunter who loves nothing more than the warm glow of a smoldering enemy wreck. His pack relishes opening up enemy formations, so that his fellow hunters can pounce on the bewildered survivors of wrecked transports. Hunters Grulf and Gnrl have a fierce competitive streak and strive to out do the other by felling the most daunting of iron leviathans with their meltaguns. Gnrl is currently besting his pack brother with a confirmed kill of the word bearers land raider Crimson word.
