gil galed
So i've finished nearly all of my Power armoured members of my grey knight army which can be found here: My Grey Knights Basically a normal 'grey' colour scheme as opposed to silver. I've bought 2 10 man cadian squads, a cadian command squad and a valk (sure i can't use it but it's sweeeeeeeet) They'll double as either Storm Troopers or as an ally forming an infantry platoon. But i can't decide whether i want them to be clean and almost parade standard as an "Inquisitors personal force", probably with grey plate armour and a washed red clothing. Or should they be more gritty forming a contrast to my GK? they'll be on the same lava bases. I like the regular cadian scheme but i'm not sure if it will blend into the grey of the knights. Similarly i think camo may look odd with knights. But then again I'm not sure if i might be a bit bored of painting grey ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181660-unsure-on-storm-trooper-scheme/ Share on other sites
KJB
and a valk (sure i can't use it but it's sweeeeeeeet) Get yourself an Inquistor and a copy of Imperial Armour 2 (or the PDF update) and the Valkyrie becomes all nice and legal as a transport option... Unless of course you either play A, in tournaments or B, against total douchebags... :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181660-unsure-on-storm-trooper-scheme/#findComment-2150411 Share on other sites

Lord Asher
I painted my IST very cleanly as I see them as the Inquisitors private troops and members of the Ordo Malleus. The Holy Heretic
You're doing lava bases. How do you think, they'd camouflage themselves in that environment? guillaume
Well, the lava bases do dictate your color scheme to some extent. The bases are so bright, that you have to contrast them with a drab color scheme. Personally, I would go with a blue/grey color, Death Korps of Krieg style. I would ABSOLUTELY choose to make them gritty and make some of their clothes burnt brown on the edges to show that these poor souls aren't even capable of managing a lava field without getting their frocks burnt. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/popkrieg2.htm Only GK keep clean in battle. The rest, they waddle in mud and get filthy. Whilst it is greyish, you can always add more blue than grey, but keep it drab. Also, it will tie with your GK nicely.
