White Hunter Posted October 13, 2009 Share Posted October 13, 2009 Okay we all know that walkers can be a pain and tarpit infantry even with a fist in the pack, however I was looking at a possibility in the new codex with WG pack leaders and GH squads. If you give a WG TH and add him to a GH squad you have 2 base TH attacks all of which can stun. Now sprinkle in some melta bombs in the GH squad and instead of a 6 to hit you are looking at hitting on a 4+ with melta bombs. What does everyone think? muzzyman1981 Posted October 13, 2009 Share Posted October 13, 2009 I've never had a problem against walkers in any army I've played against (although I don't count Dreadnoughts as I believe them to be in their own class). Sentinals generally get a shot or two then are out of the game. Eldar bozo's not much better although a bit more survivable against Rangar's men. whitewolfmxc Posted October 14, 2009 Share Posted October 14, 2009 i have a question that i was confused when being asked last game , well it says in the rule book Drednoughts loses the CC arm with lose all of its special "power" (S 10 / power weapon) , so does it mean if a drednought has no CC arm left , its attacks arent power weapon attacks ? also are other walkers (such as eldar war walker / IG sentinal) have any power weapon attack ? So no Stunned effect against walkers in two different ways - only causes a Shaken result and only against vehicles w/o an initiative value. Then there's the fact that Grey Hunters can't take melta bombs. The stunning effect of a thunderhammer is in addition to whatever else is rolled on the damage chart. That includes not even doing ANY damage on the armor penetration chart.
