SalamanderPlayer
Hello, I am currently plotting out a new space wolf army. I have been reading the novel's about Ragnar, and I'm going to buy the new codex once I get the chance. Something vexes me though. How the heck do I paint them the blueish-grey? I want it to be the traditional light blue, but all the tutorials I find make the model to dark. How do you think I can achieve this? How do you paint your space wolves? Make sure to include pictures if you can, Thanks! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181706-how-do-i-paint-space-wolves-the-way-i-want/ Share on other sites
stinkenheim
check the latest WD, theres an article in here about painting space wolves, and they seem to come out pretty light. muzzyman1981
Plain old Space Wolf Grey is just fine I found but I prefer the darker Fenris Grey Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181706-how-do-i-paint-space-wolves-the-way-i-want/#findComment-2150805 Share on other sites
SalamanderPlayer
check the latest WD, theres an article in here about painting space wolves, and they seem to come out pretty light. Â I'm not a subscriber to white dwarf, it's a tad to expensive for my taste. But maybe I will try to buy a issue at my Gw distributor. How much does a issue usually cost? It's probably not a good idea seeing I'm still gathering money for the codex. Anyways If anyone has some ideas, keep them coming! Pictures would be awesome too! If it helps I want them to look like they are on the box, that's exactly what I'm aiming for. stummer
atm i am using codex grey to base coat them, then mixing up a 1:1 mix of badab black and asurmen blue give it a good coat then once it dried, highlight up with codex grey. Baru
As stinkenheim already mentioned the lastest white dwarf has a 'eavy metal painting guide. Really good(actually all the 'eavy metal masterclasses are good) and generally shows perfectly how GW paints their space wolves (they skipped 1 or 2 layers maybe here and there). A WD is 4.50 ponds or 7.50 euro's. The whole WD is actually filled with good space wolf goodies, tips and trics. Primarch015
i finished my first model (WG w/ TDA). came out a bit darker than how GW paints them on the box. I followed the painting guide from the GW website but something seems to be off. Anyone who has a copy of the SW white dwarf wanna share how they paint the SW?
