Long Fangs + Rune Priest?

Greetings all. It's been a while since I've toyed with making a new Wolves list, but I'm giving it a go.

 

Before I ask my question I'll preface by saying that I love Heavy Bolters, both the look of the Heavy Bolter wielding Marine, and the idea of the all Dakka screaming across the battle field. Naturally, the ability to throw 5 of them into a unit of Long Fangs for the ridiculously low price they're listed at got my attention.

 

 

My question is about the viability of adding a basic Rune Priest with a chooser and the Living Lightning power to a 6 strong pack of Long Fangs with heavy bolters. The Priest should both be protected by the fangs and help discourage enemy assault units with his own assault ability. Furthermore he should be able to choose his own shooting targets due to the Long Fangs ability to split fire. 15 Heavy Bolter shots at 1 target, plus a decent amount of Living Lightning fire at another target seems to be an impressive amount of Dakka.

 

Another thought that occurred is possibly placing 5 grey Hunters nearby with a Plasma Gun and a Power Fist to further discourage interlopers, but that may become too much of an investment.

Personally i like a WG termi with a AC. Its cheaper, more reliable (4 shots opposed to D6), better AP, and rending. or even a cyclone missile launcher is good too, if you want more range

For extra great firepower do both. 5 long fangs with missile launchers, 1 cyclone woflguard (with storm shield to block low ap shots), and a runepriest with living lightning, and a birdy. Much more pricey but can really knock a waveserpent down every turn.
