Torin
Good Day bothers I just though of this nasty trick Rune Priest + Jump Pack + JotWW. Jump around behind terrain and cast. Sorry if this has been post before. By the way we can actually take 2 rune priest right. Grie Velorn
Now I may have just started wolves but I see a problem with that logic, as great as it sounds don't you need LOS to use JotWW? If not then that would be a pretty devastating Rune Priest. Oldenhaller
it's a shooting attack so while it'll pass through terrain it still needs a target for the shooting attack. There's a BIIIIG thread on this :) ~O Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181741-jaws-of-the-world-wolf/#findComment-2151231 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Yeah, since its the "rune priest" who does it I always interpreted that as a LOS power... but Im sure there are arguments against that. Personally I feel the most powerful psychic ability we have is Tempests Wrath- wich can completely shut down about half the armies Ive seen for half a table or so. Torin
well that the thing the spell create a line 24" from the RP to any direction passing all object and terrain.. it not like shooting a large blast template to a single group or sort. Well it is acceptable if you require LOS. It just IMO. Oldenhaller
It's an odd one with the wording...but to shoot the target it needs los, just it doesn't need los to everything it can effect ~O Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181741-jaws-of-the-world-wolf/#findComment-2151267 Share on other sites
ChaosPhoenix
Just try to refer to the huuuge thread, because everything which would be said here, was said about five times in the past discussion ;-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181741-jaws-of-the-world-wolf/#findComment-2151278 Share on other sites

There was no consensus. Marek Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181741-jaws-of-the-world-wolf/#findComment-2151369 Share on other sites
Oldenhaller
lol...yup, but there was some movement toward what targetted meant. I believe in the end it was that it was psychic test, pick target using los rules as it's a shooting attack, attack doesn't need to hit that target but will still draw the line which would affect other things along it. A target outside 24" is not a problem but you still have to have a target  Play how you feel like and make sure your opponent is cool with it. I'm happy to discuss things at length ~O Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181741-jaws-of-the-world-wolf/#findComment-2151377 Share on other sites
Forseti
I love this power, used it the other day vs a Killa Kan Wall Ork list (9KKs forming a line w/ 2 Big Meks following with Kustom force fields giving them 4+ cover saves.) JotWW targetting the kans, can't hurt the kans but was great for popping the Meks hiding behind them with their I3. I personally come down on the other side of the fence in that particular argument but I'd always be happy to discuss and always defer to the ruling of whichever gaming club or establishment I happened to be in at the time.
