.... and none has a Wolf model. U probably know what i mean, and u know i'm right.

There is nothing on the market, that does fit in size and does not look like a fat lassie after lobotomy.

So i decided to make one.

Here is, how it wet so far:

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0086-1.jpg

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT041.jpg

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0092-2.jpg

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0093-1.jpg

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0103.jpg

http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j92/wieims/PICT0102-3.jpg

It will be completely modular:

2 or 3 heads,

legs with bionics and without

walking and standing

As a Wolf is Wolf and not protected by copyright whatsoever, it will be available as full resin model in 10 parts to buy, to build numerous varations.

I hope to be able to have a price so low, that u will have no choice but to get some.

Any questions, comments, critics and so on? Feel free.

Sounds great. What you've done so far looks really cool. Interested to see how versatile you can make it. I certainly think you will have market for it, especially right now.

We'll see.

I'm not up for profit anyway. If it makes money, i'll use it in a community sense, perferably as prices for painting cometitions.

but i'm somehow doubting they'll be on the big dread bases...

Good point, and i'm not sure either.

There are to my Knowledge in 5th the 3 round base sizes in 40K, as well es something for Bikers. The Wolf will fill that too.

I consider the dread base the most probable solution though, as Wolfes to ride on must have a certain size, and its not possible to fit em on dread bases in a running position.

i have to say i think its a great job so far and if you can do it as well as you say with heads and legs then i'll be down for 5

I'll show all the possible Variations, as soon as i have em finished and casted.

Here you see a third version.

Apart from the exchangeable rear leg above, here we have an alternate head as well as an alternate front leg.

Nearly done as you see, but some smoothing and filing here and there.

All options will be included in the end, of course. I'll make one more head, and one more front leg, both with bionics.

Thats a better looking wolf than the retarded :cussing thing that Canis is riding. Man they stuffed that one up.

Nice work dude, looks good next to a marine.

That model looks a LOT hotter in real life- dunno what the painters did with that one..but yeah. Check it out if you get the chance. Its not half as bad as it looks in the pics!

And to the OP - MAD hot stuff!!

Bionic leg and head. Ears still to be done, and some scars.

Then thats it and it will go to casting.

I do think this is a great start but personally the main problem with the Canis model is the passive pose.

These versions are just as passive - we need agressive models that look like they are about to rip your throat out.

I mean this with the greatest respect as they ARE very good but they do look like they have just gone for a walk in the park.

You are right of course.

The point is simply, that mounts in tabletop always need to have a certain "allrounder pose".

Peolpe want to place Models on them, have different equipments, want a model that is easily standing on its own, and can complement a number of Base designs.

Its just not a good idea to make a mount to situational. (Although that would look way besser in a diorama)

Could always just make a 4th wolf and pose. *shrug*

Just for the matter to keep you updated:

The greens are lying at the molder's place for more than a week now, and he is waiting for a delivery of silicone, he needs to cast it for a serial production.

I'll drop a note here, as soon as i know how the outcome looks and when it might me available.
