happe
Hi there, I have been looking at the Space Wolves for quite awhile now and have over the past few months integrating a small force into my current Templar crusade without completly comminting up until now that the new codex is out (as bad as that may seem). Now I find that I need to expand my "fluff pack" which was represented to fit the fluff I created for them and actual playablity being second at best, to now I have to build a 1500 point force by the end of the year. My question is about the sagas, the benefits make enough sense so no problems there but what I dont understand is if you fail to meet the critera at the end of the game ( say all your Fenrisian Wolves die and you have the Wolfkin saga). Does failing have any actual "on the table" consequence or is this merely for story telling purposes? Thanks for any input, and if my understanding of Wolf culture is correct it is only proper for me to say "next round is on me". AdeptusDavidus
As far as I can tell, it's just fluff. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181947-sagas/#findComment-2153565 Share on other sites
stinkenheim
they have no ingame effect. its more for fluff and to try and redeem your honour in campaigns/linked games. hmk17
Yeah, its complete fluff to try and complete the objectives. The battle report in WD 357 has a good glimpse of it. Personally, if you are all in for the fluff and atmosphere of SW, have fun with it. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181947-sagas/#findComment-2153603 Share on other sites
Vlk
It's just added for fun. You can have a crazy bloodthirsty maniac who throws optimal tactics away because he wants to charge and kill those pesky 10 enemies, a beastslayer who leaves his unit to enter into an honourable fight with his upcoming trophy, a towering warrior who seeks and kills enemy characters... Perfect opportunity to do something just for fun in friendly games .)
