Lestat
I was going through my bitz box the other day and started throwing some bitz together. Looking at what I had put together gave me the idea of taking it a stage further and produce a Steampunk inspired Marine. This is what I have built so far. The pics are a bit blurry, but I think you get the idea. Any C+C are welcome. EDIT: Links changed - hopefully they will work now! CDR Grendelwulf
This should be better... http://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss33/hellon2wheelz/PA140001.jpghttp://i559.photobucket.com/albums/ss33/hellon2wheelz/PA140003.jpg Hmm, an intriguing idea. It would certainly help clean out one's own bitz box by doing a whole army this way. I say go with the concept and see where it takes you. Keep us posted... Ciao, CDR Grendelwulf Many thanks for the help there. It's certainly a good idea if you are slightly bored and looking for inspiration. Just throw a load of bitz together and see what you get. CDR Grendelwulf
...and no two marines would necessarily be exactly alike, yet the paint scheme would tie them all together. Almost like the Adeptus Mechanicus, which is kind of appropriate. Terrible_Trygon
Very nice. Very nice indeed. And it looks very 40k, unlike most Steampunk marine attempts. Ciao, CDR Grendelwulf When I have time I might just put together another few steam-powered Marines. I think a dark, drab brown scheme would work. It would tie in with the copper pipes and bits. Very nice. Very nice indeed. And it looks very 40k, unlike most Steampunk marine attempts. Thanks for the compliment. Don't think I have ever seen another Stempunk Marine though. Thought it was unique - if there are any others out there, then I would love to see them! Lestat
Steampunk Google is your friend. Great looking marine Lestat, aren't the Steamknight helmets the best? ^^ Thankyou very much. Those helmets are great - that was the main influence for this kitbash. Love the jump packs they produce too. I'll get around to painting it today. Hetacondries
Looking great, love that metal powerfist and the helmet. He also looks like a marine that has had some battlefield repair mid campaign. Looking forward to seeing more.
