has anyone else seen the Canis Wolfborn model on GW? the converted one with the thunder hammer and the storm sheild? its really simple but also really affective looking if you ask me

also for anyone who actually has the Canis Wolfborn model can you tell me how many peices there are and whats all seperate? based off of the pic id say the wolfs head, left leg, right paw and Canis's arms and that makes 5 but the model description says theres 9 peices

There are 9 pieces......and this would be an expensive way to try and put together a Thunderwolf Cavalry unit especially since they'd all look almost the exact same except for the arms. I'm gonna wait till there is word on possible Thunderwolf models before I start thinking of making TW unit, especially since there is no official word on how big the base is supposed to be for TWC.
The bases are dreadnought sized. Also the conversion I was thinking of personally was using wargs with mounted 'wolves. As the model isn't on the same base size (they're on terminator bases) I will be bulking it up a bit by placing slate piles from the Warhammer basing kit on them to make it look like they're running down mountains and what not and so that they have a reason to be on larger bases. That and the price isn't too bad. $25 for 6 wargs + a $35 'wolf pack. Anyway, just a thought for you.
Well Canis' mount has a dreadnought base....but his is bigger than most. Where, besides personal preference, do we know that a Thunderwolf Cavalry model has a dreadnought sized? This is why we really can't be sure about converting Canis into Thunderwolf Cavalry models.

Way ahead of you.

Cut off the hammer and placed an axe head, which looks pretty awesome resting on his shoulder. Ignore the duder on the left, still working on him.

My perspective is this: "This is an official GW model riding a thunderwolf, on the supplied GW base." Until GW releases a proper set of thunderwolf cav models with whatever sized bases they intend, I'm not deviating from the dread base at all.
