Winterseven
Doh! You beat me to it - Just last week over at the fang, we were discussing the merits of using Khan's body for a ragnar conversion, and this was just how i'd imagined it was going to turn out like (shakes fist) curses to you! :P But this looks great, it really brings the model to life and is exactly what having a space wolf army is all about, individuality and character (and the ale and the fighting and the feasting of course), so great work - bravo :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181994-ragnar-blackmane-reinterpreted/page/2/#findComment-2155301 Share on other sites
hmk17
How does Khan piece together? I take it the arms are separate and the torso is in one piece. Was thinking of stealing the idea, but using Khan's upper torso with the lower torso of the Wolfguard w/ Lightning Claws figure. DV8
@Winterseven - I know. The moment I saw others were considering it I immediately scoured every GW and LGS around (even went so far as to stop by GW in Montreal last weekend) to nab Kor'sarro. @hmk17 - Kor'sarro is in 5 pieces: both arms, head, backpack, head, and the body (consisting of torso and legs). It wouldn't be difficult at all to take a saw and cut him in half above or below the belt. Kaldoth
Nice! I like it :( My only issue is the cape. It may just be the angle of the picture, but it looks like the cape is flowing forward, instead of away from him. Cheers, -Kal Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181994-ragnar-blackmane-reinterpreted/page/2/#findComment-2156002 Share on other sites
Kjarl Bluetooth
Very spooky coincidence - I'd only been thinking yesterday about doing the very same conversion and then here it is! Very impressive work. I personally like the Frost Blade the way it is - just as I imagined it. You have to remember that it was always a "master crafted" weapon until the current codex. The only thing I'd say is that you need to tidy up the obvious join between the 2 chainswords used. Looking forward to seeing the painting start. Cpt. Cortez
That mate is a top looking mini, although i like the old static ragnar, your work is amazing and i hope GW would look at it and take this model and put it into production! Cant wait to see some paint on it! liam Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/181994-ragnar-blackmane-reinterpreted/page/2/#findComment-2160591 Share on other sites
Ranvir Krakendoom
Excellent interpretation of history's youngest Wolf Lord. I can't describe in words my hatred for the original GW Ragnar. This has definitely restored some pride to his Great Company. Can't wait to see him painted.
