BobaHat Posted October 19, 2009 Author Share Posted October 19, 2009 I like 'em alot, what did you do to convert lysander? I used the standard Lysander body and removed the head. I then gave him new arms from the Terminator Assault Squad set and added the Fist of Dorn head to the top of another hammer. I gave him a new head so that he was looking in the other direction and gave him a mohawk and goatee using Green Stuff. My favorite of the ones you've posted so far is the Dreadnought, where I think the weathering looks really nice. Great job with a very difficult colour. It's simply a gentle drybrush of black and 3-4 shades of brown using a tank brush. The chipped paint is done by painting watered down black followed by bolgun metal. The fist-vents on the captain's pack are great. Those look like they came from a second edition snapfit sergeant, or are they from the third edition arm sprues? You've managed to get that 'Fists yellow down, and the Captain is quite characterful; an epitome of your own Imperial Fists force. The only thing I'd personally add is a head-swap to the Captain. The good ol' beakie is nice, but a barehead or different helmet would suite the model much better, in my opinion. Other than that small nitpick they look fantastic. Which one are you referring to? :D The guy in the billowing cloak and beakie helmet is a Second Company Captain, and then there's Lysander. I am working on the Chapter Master as well. Favorite is Second Company Captain Toku-Meiji..very nice conversion. I threw a beak on my Helbrecht as well. Never thought of grinding off the combi. The weathering is impressive.
