Mixing wolf Guard

White Hunter

Recommended Posts

In a LR? I wouldnt mix unless I had too- and heres why.

WG- 2x WCs- 48pts

WG- TDA, 2x WCs- 48pts.

WG- PF+C-F- 43pts.

WG- TDA, PF+CF- 48pts.

WG- TH+SS- 68pts.

WG- TDA, TH+SS- 63pts.

WG- PW+BP-28pts.

WG- PW+SB-33pts, -1 A.

As you can see, for whatever reason, WG in TDA are cheap... usually within 5pts of their AP brethren, and occaisionlly cheaper. Unless your just going for stock powerweapons or Rhino Transports TDA is the way to go.

You're completely correct, GM, but you can only have 5 TDA-equipped Wolfguard in a regular Landraider, or 6 in a Redeemer. What I think White Hunter is out for, is the "sweet spot" where you have a larger mass of bodies at the cost of fewer TDA-equipped men.

I've been tinkering with this myself, and I think it's going to be either 3x TDA, 4x PA, or 2x TDA, 6x PA.

Mind you, it's going to be an incredibly expensive squad unless you're a bit stingy on the wargear.
