Fracture
Afternoon. Just painted this guy up today. I've really fallen in love with the new SW plastics and thought it might be a good way to get my painting mojo back again. However, I know I wont have the time to put in you need to get a rally nice grey colour so thought of trying something different. Thinking of either making them an chapter in their own right of making them a grand company that has split off for one reason or another. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/Damned_man/Ebon%20Wolves/Picture014.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/Damned_man/Ebon%20Wolves/Picture015.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v246/Damned_man/Ebon%20Wolves/Picture016.jpg What do you think? Malanok
I like it, Good work! Mal P.S I personally don't normally like a gloss finish, but it suits the armour. Well done! Mr Fulgrim
looking good, what colours did you use as highlights on the armour? Marek Grimfang
My wolves wear black armour as well, and the gloss finish totally suits the mini. Fracture
Cheers for the positive words guys. Really wasn't sure if the scheme would work when I started. The trim is scaley green which unfortunatly gw doesn't make anymore. DibbZi
THey are almost chaosy, but not... They look cool! I'd say they are another great company... Shortsonfire79
Yeah, they look sorta chaosy to me too! Fantastic work. They look really simple to paint, but you've still paid all the attention to the detailing. jlmb_123
Yeah, those are awesome. They have a really threatening look to them. I particularly like the ones with bare heads, there's a brilliant contrast between the rather stormy, inhuman feel of the armour and the distinctly healthy, ordinary faces. Fire Lord Captain
WOW!!! I love these guys!! They look like they have come straight out of a comic book! Lovely bright colours, and the gloss of the armour is excellant! Great job! Vodunius
Good lord! For a while I've been considering using a very similar scheme (although with scaly green stippled over the black and some greeny-white lines over the to - to make it look like marble), these look so awesome I think I'll have to take a crack at it.. Brayden
They look awesome, especially with the gloss. A whole company would be great on the table. Keep up with the good work Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/182324-trying-an-alternative-colour-scheme-to-sws/#findComment-2168365 Share on other sites
