FireFist
So I was at my local game shop....(J&J Cards&Hobbies, Waterloo, ON, Canada) Someone there said that there were supposedly going to be PLASTIC Inquistion models.... Can anyone give detail? yes some day in the dark future ther will be , but no one know when =( Trust me plastic is a bit of a hassle. I sometimes tend to forget a piece or put it in the wrong place. So for now metal is best (Though it's hard to customize). Commander Remiel
Since any Inquisition Codex is likely well down GWs list, I doubt that plastics will be happening any time soon. But it would be nice since the metals (at least for SoBs and GKs) have limited poses available. There are a number of people on B&C (myself included) that have decided to create their own DIY plastic inquisition Ordos Militant. I am unable to recall the threads (have them bookmarked but at home, I am at work right now). If you are interested in your own DIY Ordos Militant, I can post the threads after I get home (tomorrow, Weds, is also my day off). Magnus Thane
The absence of plastic kits is quite painful. Some Stormtroopers, basic sisters and maybe the Basic Grey Knights in plastic would help out a lot. gil galed
Well put it this way, there havent even been any substantial rumours of GK's or Sisters and given that GW make stuff a good year if not more of it coming out it is unlikely you will see any plastics for at least 2 years, so if you want sisters may as well be now. Although the metal aspect was always a huge detraction for me (not that i like them anyway) but all one pose is a bit annoying. At least GK have different arms and you don't normally have many of them in an army. ArmouredWing
Would it be worth it to start Sisters now?Hmmm, well that's a good question at the moment and a bit of a double edged sword. Up until a few weeks ago I'd have said "It's always a good time to start sisters" but in the last few days I've been browsing ebay (one of the best places to get sisters en masse) and by my reckoning they've got to be the most expensive 40K force to put together now. The problem is the not so much the standard sisters but the specialist weapons in the squads. Meltagun sisters are not generally available in GW and it's increasingly difficult to get hold of heavy flamer sisters or retributer models. The same can be said for exorcists as they are direct order only. On the plus side sisters are a great force to play. The learning curve can be pretty steep but the rewards for the patience needed to get to grips with them are well worth it and you'll get a lot of respect for going with a force that isn't that common out there. I guess the biggest question is can you afford to commit the time and cash needed to put together a decent sized force? SamaNagol
GW do not make it easy to put together effective foreces when it comes to metal models. They are notoriously bad for offering a good service online for special weapons. Just try and put together a couple of units of IST with Metlaguns. To answer your Q, there will not be any plastics for DH or WH for at the very least 18 months. Archon_77
I do not want to bring down the firestorm that this could cause in this thread, BUT, do a search on these forums in the Modeling and PCA section on a poster named "Doctor Thunder". What you fill find is an excellent starting point on kit bashing Female models, which I have found to be very adaptable for creating plastic SoBs. Just don't say anything about female marines. Trust me. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/182362-plastic-witch-huntersdaemonhunters/#findComment-2158686 Share on other sites

WAR
Would it be worth it to start Sisters now? how much do you want to spend is better question. Like a lot of the previous posters sisters are quite expensive the only trick is converting exorcists from whirlwinds. but when it comes down to it the base squads are really expensive to buy ship etc. if you buy a box of sisers form you FLGS you get 7 models you will use out of 10 (you may use the vss) but the specials are not worth it (stormbolter and flamer, why) tehn you have to hunt down a better specials (melta guns) and hvy flamer then you have two do this at least twice. But on the other side I love my Sisters of Battle and would never part with them like I do my other armies Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/182362-plastic-witch-huntersdaemonhunters/#findComment-2159038 Share on other sites
templargdt
I have two squads of Sisters for my Grey Knights and I think they're pretty nice models. You can cut the plasma pistol off the VSS and glue on a bolter for 8 good models out of the box, but yeah, you need to find the specials. Order through your local FLGS, but don't expect it to show up over night.
