Polaris
Greetings! Let me start with a bit of historical information. When I first started to play WarHammer, there were literally NO PLAYERS around where I lived. I talked to a few friends about it and got them interested in the game. Seemingly, over night, the hobby has spread like wild fire. I now have eight people who are buying and building warhammer armies. EIGHT!!!! With all this added interest, myself and a friend decided we need a table everyone can play on. The closest hobby store is 1 1/2 hours away from us : ( Without further ado I present the first half of "Project: Inquisition" We started with a 4" thick 6 x 4 foam board. We cut it in half ( for storage ) and began working. I wanted to have something that was both scenic, WarHammer-y and offered tactical advantages to ANY army that played no matter what side they started on. We settled on a mountain/forest/battle field combination. An old river flows through on side, with a mountain range on the other. The River has been dug out and "entrenched" for the on coming battle. The center piece will be a blown out crater with buildings and rubble. The pictures dont accurately portray the size of this board. This bad boy is HUGE! Polaris
Updates Yes, already : ) I built some foam craters. They will be placed to give the board some more personality. (and cover saves! ) http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i32/pro_zac/zac012.jpg Also, we sealed the board using joint compound. This is so we can spray paint it. Foam tends to not agree with spray paints!! http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i32/pro_zac/zac014.jpg Just to give you an idea of the scale of things. I put my land raider down. Remember, this is a LAND RAIDER! http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i32/pro_zac/zac017.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i32/pro_zac/zac018.jpg http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i32/pro_zac/zac019.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/182385-project-inquisition/#findComment-2157647 Share on other sites

Polaris
nice table looks huge compared to the LR how ar yougoing to paint/ flock your table ps shouldn't yo be wearing shop goggles while routing the foam I couldn't believe how big it really is. Its a 6 x 4 ,tourtment sized board though. And yeah, we probably should have worn goggles.... but who really worries about that? Its WARHAMMER not safetyhammer! ; ) Haha, here in australia Lowes is a mens clothing store Hahaha, try Home Depot then. You should be able to find it in almost any hardware/lumber store.
