Hi all, I've gone for a 'quick to paint' method on this one, but I'm fairly pleased with the result :D I've still got to add company/squad markings etc. (and do his back pack! - hate back packs). He only took an hour or two overall, so I think I can get a squad made/converted/painted up fairl quickly! Please let me know what you think!!

Hi there, cheers :P I sprayed the model dark grey from humbrol. Painted in completely in Fenris Grey, gry brushed heavily with 50/50 Fenris Grey/Astronomican Grey, then lighter dry brush with another 50% Astro added to the mix. I then added white to the mix and lightly dry brushed. The model was then washed with a 2:4:4:1 mix of Fenris Grey:Devlan Mud:Water:Klear Floor polish (or any other flow improving medium). When dry, I painted edge highlights of Astro Grey. The gold was a mix of Warm brown/Game colour gold (50/50), and highlighted up by adding more gold/mithril, and washed with watered down devlan. The bolter is Iyanden dark sun, with white mixt in for highlights, then glazed with sunburst yellow. The skin is dark flesh, with gradual highlights of white mixed in, and glazed with a baal Red/Dark Flesh/Klear/Water mix to blend the highlights.

Hope that helps!

Oh, and the basing! Well I was thinking of Cork bark rocks, and sand, apinted up with bubonic brown, and dry brushed with Devlan mud, with dry yellow static grass added. Nice and simple.
