How did your Wolf Lord come by his deed name?

 

Eirik Xenobane

 

Some years after Eirik was promoted to the Grey Hunters he lost his pack in a vicious battle against Eldar raiders. Eirik's pack held their ground against relentless assault from female Eldar wearing bone-white armour who screamed into battle with shrieks that could still the blood of ordinary men. Yet the Hunters held but one by one they fell to the power blades of the degenerate xenos.

 

Eirik was himself about to fall when a Deathwatch kill-team arrived and drove the Eldar back. After the battle Eirik was prepared to swear vengeance and seek death as a Lone Wolf. However, the Captain of the kill-team, an Ultramarine by the name of Marius, requested that Eirik be assighned to his team. Calling in binding oaths sworn by all Chapters, Eirk's wolf lord agreed.

 

For two decades Eirik fought with the Deathwatch against Xenos scum, learning how to slay them and bringing honour to himself and his chapter. Upon his return to the Fang, with a glorious saga of heroic deeds, Eirik was immediately promoted to the Wolf Guard and given the name 'Xenobane' a name he bore untill he died.

Kojak The Butcher.

 

when the steel fangs finally settled on a planet they could call home the planet was home to a very large brood of Tyranids which had become seperated from their hive fleet. a great campaign began to clense the planet from the xenos threat, and it was during what was to be the final battle that Kabal sadly fell, he was stricken down by an ancient carnifex monstrosity. it was during this fight that a young Kojak (one of kabals wolf guard) witnessed his lords demise and with that jumped to his lords aid, cleaving the carnifex's head from its body. the young wolf guard held his lord in his arms and with Kabals last words he proclaimed Kojak his sucsessor, and with that he died. kojak stricken with grief let out a long and bestial howl one that would chill the very bones of the hardest and most experienced warrior, his eyes opened and revieled a yellow glow they then they fixed on the Tyranid swarm and a madness took him he pounced from his lords body and into the fray, slaying Tyranid creatures left right and center. He was blood drunk and his body ached but still he continued the slaughter. many hundreds of xenos fell at his fury that day and when he came to his senses he was stood atop a gigantic pile of alien corpses caked in the dark blood of the fallen. his battle brothers stood frozen on awe at the sheer number of the dead, and from that day He gained the title of Kojak The Butcher.

Gyriel Silverfang

 

Gyriel's Bloodclaw pack was part of a small detachment tasked with holding a manufactorum plant on the world of Dereel Prime. The world was invaded by the Waaaagh Bigstikka and thousands of greenskins brushed aside the planetary defence forces. Soon the Wolves held little islands of humanity against the Green Tide. Gyriels pack stood alongside Iron Priest Vendank Ironclaw when Bigstikka arrived at the plant with his bodyguard. They dragged with them the fallen dreadnought Kallick Firestorm. Ironclaw was enraged by the desicration of the Noble dreadnought and ordered the bloodclaws to charge. Most fell to the massed fire of the orkish hoarde, but Gyriel made it through. With his bolt pistol spent he grabbed a second chainsword from a fallen pack mate and crashed into the bodyguard. With furious strokes and agility he slew the bodyguard and came face to face with Bigstikka. The ork warlord smashed Gyriels chainswords aside shattering them. Fearing failure more than death, Gyriel sprang at Bigstikka and buried his fangs in the ork chieftens neck. The Ork reeled violently and smashed Gyriel off him which ripped out his own throat. Gyriel lost one of his fangs in teh orks throat. In recognition of his efforts to save the dreadnought Vendank forged a sliver fang to replace the one lost. All of Gyriels Great Company earn the right to wear a silver wolf pelt after their first close combat kill.
