Levitas
So I have everything built and i'm ready to roll some dice! But all those blank plastic faces need paint, and i'm not a fan of gaming with unpainted stuff. Need some motivation!! So what activities can enhance that wolfy feeling and get paintbrushes wagging. I was thinking about reading all the SW books again to inhale some fluff, or maybe just drinking the strongest ale i can find and eating raw meat. Playing games like Vikings of Asgard? or watching wobbly movies such as pathfinder? Visiting wolves at the zoo... What do you fellow wolves do? Brother Captain Kezef
channel the inner wolf by stripping naked and running around the street, marking cars as your own. When they let you out of jail, start painting. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/182780-enhancing-the-wolf-time/#findComment-2162143 Share on other sites

Growler67
How about sitting down with a brush in your hand and not geting up till something is painted! :tu: I see your ;) , but wouldn't that seem more like penance than motivation? Just sayin'. I guess so, if you don't like painting. I love it, but I tend to suffer from procrastination. So if I don't make an effort and sit down, nothing gets done. To make matters worse I have so little time between work and my studies. So no searching for a muse for me. Just good old productive discipline! Marek Grimfang
I look at the sea of plastics I have and get dis-illusioned. Another week of days off go by, and Im at work again. Honestly, I have written out a step-by-step way of getting things done and at least this way things get done. So I assemble a few squads with all their extras put to the side and then ensure I get them all under coated. The next week I ensure the basing is put on all of them. The next week I start painting the basic Troops with a limited pallet of colours. ETC etc etc. A lot gets painted en mass and in bulk. The last part is the painting of all the shoulder pads and decalling them. The part I hate the most. But this way its all done in manageble stages, I dont get burnt out, and you see large amounts done each stage. No ale though, because then I will just forget it altogether. LoneSniperSG
I find that listening to viking metal from bands like Turisas helps me get in the SW vibe. Playing WoW and venturing to Northrend also does that same thing for me. Ragnar the great
I go out and give chaos a good kicking 2 fold if they play with black models... it takes time to build and paint, but when u field an army painted vs a black hord. thats victory enought....
