Lone's take on the new 'dex

As ecstatic as I was about the new Imperial Guard codex release this year, I was still looking forward to the brand new completely updated Space Wolves codex!

I didn't even anticipate it until December. So there I go, strolling into my LGS, I notice my friend is working and chat with him for a few minutes, then turn to look at the 40k section and there it is. Codex: Space Wolves, sitting out on display like a shiny gem. I nearly fell over (Not joking).

So, I've got a box of the new pack, the new codex and the latest GW. Now I think i've read enough of the new stuff to give out my opinion on the new codex.

.. This thing is solid gold. Everyone remember how we were called "Space Puppies?" to me, that reflects the OLD codex. The dusty archaic thing that kept us going for seven years.

Compared to that little 30-page book, the new codex has made us all into Space Werewolves.

We've now got THREE forms of cavalry! Jump-pack Bloodclaws are now a true force to be reckoned with instead of a side note. Grimnar, Blackmane, Ulrik and Njal are badder than ever before. We have all three Land Raider types available, new wargear all over the place, and the new models are crazy awesome to the point where I can make my co-workers exclaim "Hey, that's pretty awesome!"

Although we lost our beloved Leman Russ Exterminator (Which means I now have to change my banner and repaint/modify mine for IG), we gained much more in new things, and so many old things have been revitalized and restored.

It's a good time to be a Space Wolf.

It's great, but we kinda got screwed out of the new th/ss termies, but those guys are cheating anyways.

Is the 20p heavy bolter marine to cheap?

Realistically speaking, the machine gun has always been the cheapest and easiest firesupport weapon to deploy. 20 pts for a marine with a heavy bolter makes sense to me when taking that into consideration.
