How to convert Grey Knights? And what weapons to use?

I hope one does realize that with certain Grey Knight arms, it is quite possible to cut along the joints and repose the wrists and elbows. Also cut along the join between the shoulder pad and the upper arm, since the line is more or less smooth along the bottom edge of the shoulder pad and allows the arm to achieve a huge range of motion.

Switch hands with Space Marine Veterans too - take the axes, swords, maces and lightning claws. Steal axe heads alone and replace the halberd head with them to make a Nemesis poleaxe. File down the lightning claw blades to stumps to make knuckledusters. Cut away the storm bolter on the other arm, and attach a plastic one behind the halberd head to make a Custodes style weapon. Cut away the Nemesis force weapon entirely and replace with a longer brass rod to make a very simple Nemesis quarterstaff. Chaos Terminators have some very nice axes ...

And that it would be easy to add the incense censers from the Dark Angels upgrade sprues. And the scrolls from the Tactical and Terminator squad sprues. Storm bolter ammo boxes from the Terminator sprue - Pedro Kantor has two of these boxes hanging off his backpack, but Grey Knights apparently get their storm bolter ammo fed from the Warp itself. And green stuff tabards everywhere, since historically tabards were worn to protect armour from weather and wear, and more importantly to display heraldry, affiliation and other insignia. Possibly buy muzzle flashes from Armorcast and show the storm bolters cycling between the two barrels or blasting both at once.

Carve out heads with a dremel, replace with bare heads and bellowing faces.

Cut legs at the knee and reposition. Cut gun arms at the shoulder and reposition. Resculpt storm bolter belt feed if necessary, but it's much easier to shave it all off and steal an ammo box from the Terminator sprue.

Sculpt on entire robes.

And for those who are willing to brave more strenuous cutting and gap-filling work - cut metal torsos at the waist, and swap legs with more detailed metal Space Marines. Some Veterans have nicely exposed waists for this purpose, Vanguard Veterans have very dynamic legs the Emperor's Champion is perfect and has his own nice tabard and unique striding pose, Dante has beautifully crafted shins and feet for his age, and no series of torso conversions should ever leave Sammael untouched. Steal that bike!
