I've never really liked the standard obliterators. Lately I've been using the forgeworld plague ogryns which are amazing models and really fun to paint but some people complain that they have no real guns on them. So on my last day off while watching a marathon of return of the living dead I came up with these.

I plan to add a lot of texture on the skin in the paint job so I haven't sculpted too many details. They will me a mottled yellow brown rotting color with bruises everywhere. Imagine the look of your nastiest bruise covering their whole body. What do you think? Should I add more or more forward how they are?

P.S. I also should explain what I was going for with the look. A dead ogryn, who has been mutated and then had his corpse wrapped around a barrel of toxic waste and reanimated by papa nurgle!

I love this idea too. Very much. One suggestion though, I would use greenstuff to make the tyranid weapons unrecognisable as such and make it three different puss guns. It would be very acceptable they have a mechanism that can spit the acid/puss in many different ways (plasma, flamer, etc.).

I have to go with the rest and give you a thumbs up on the idea. I never thought of that (and I used those very ogres to make a 10 man ogryn unit too lol).

I also suggest greenstuffing the weapons a bit but it is not a big need.

I have not used oblits because of the cash cost of the models. If I expand my chaos again, I will go for a box of ogres and do something similer. Thank you for the idea. :P

Here they are mostly painted, just need some final touch ups and bases finished. The guns look a lot different in person, with more varied greens and washes. As always excuse the crappy pictures... =P
