silversmith82 Posted November 7, 2009 Share Posted November 7, 2009 @Zeal: As many of us have stated already, you do not take the 2nd sage for re-rolls for BS shooting, you take it for the "gets hot" re-roll and the scatter dice re-roll for the plasma cannon. @Lord Khorne: Eventually you are going to fail that Ld10 test from shooting casualties and with my luck that would be at the most innopportune time possible. With his iron will rule this is not a problem anymore and the beauty of it is he can CHOOSE to fall back so if somone is getting into assault range and shoots at him before assaulting he can just choose to fall back out of assault range. Wonderful ability. As for going into CC with the loadout you posted. Ok, so you have a "fearless" unit that is going to get wiped out in 1-2 turns by anything halfway decent in CC. On the other hand, you could camp him in cover with 36" range all around, deep strike/infiltrator protection, a plasma cannon that re-rolls and impossible to dislodge by falling back from shooting unless he wants to. I'm not sure exactly what I'm "losing" with the shooty build.
