Senseilord Ashahara
The Emperor is divine. The 'sanctioned' witch is a callow mortal. Therein lies the difference brother. WingsOfTheFalcon
All Grey Knights are Psykers, who draw power from the warp. How is this any different from creating a Demon host, whom also draw power from the warp? Is not the main purpose of Witch Hunters seek out psykers and destroy them? I think the key point here is that Grey Knights are part of the Ordo Malleus of the Inquisition, which is dedicated to the destruction of the denizens of the warp. Whereas the Witch Hunters are the Ordo Hereticus, whose purpose is to seek out heretics, untrained witches and psykers for either destruction or transfer onto the black ships. So whilst a Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor would probably see the Ordo Malleus as a radical organisation, they also recognise their value to the imperium as deamon hunters. Senseilord Ashahara
Out of character- psykers like Grey Knights use their inate powers, harnessing the warp. Heretics who summon daemonhosts are attempting to bind an entity of Chaos for their own ends. The crime there is Trafficing with Daemons and Sorcery whereas the Grey Knight (or whatever sanctioned psyker) is not. Mal
I want to hear your take on this. After skimming through the DeamonHunters codex I have found MAJOR discrepancies in the practices of the Inquisition. All Grey Knights are Psykers, who draw power from the warp. How is this any different from creating a Demon host, whom also draw power from the warp? Is not the main purpose of Witch Hunters seek out psykers and destroy them? The inquisition employs Tech-priests ( at least in "lore" ) who worship the "machine god". Multiple infractions here. 1) They are worshiping a god other the the emperor. 2) Isnt the "machine god" a C'tan god? Im not on for long, so I haven't had a chance to read allthe replies, but your making a few jumps in logic here, and sorry to say, your misinterpretating things quite a bit. First off, GK's get their power from the emperor, not the warp, secondly, they are sacntioned and thus allowed, thirdly, deamonhosts are deamons... GK's are not. Not really the same thing, infact so utterly different that no comparision can realistically be made. As for the tech priests... well the ominisar (or how ever its spelt) may be a c'tan, but we dont know, and as far as we know, they dont know... Ofically the Ominsar is the machine half of the god-emperor. Whichis why the double headed eagle is the imperial logo and why it has one organic head and one bionic head, to represent the duality of the god-emperor in his role of the ominsar.
