I give you the.... Omni-tank!

So I'm continuing my crusade to build up an army with out going out to buy anything, I want to use what I have on hand in my bitz boxes. In my efforts, I came up with this little... erm... beauty? one model that can present several different tank configurations:

 

Here it is as a Rhino (You'll notice the Storm bolter)

brilliant, you should do a tutorial on one of those

 

if only you could make a rhino which turned into a land raider... pop the LR's roof off and put the rhino inside!

actually it's pretty easy. When you build the body, put magnets on the ceiling so you can magnatize stuff like the HK launcher, search light and Smoke launchers. Take the turret mount and cut off the pins that would normally hold it in the turret and stick magnets in the base and matching magnets in the front of the turret housing. Presto. Inter-changable weapon options.

 

If you're really good at puzzles, you can probably fit all the extra components in side the body when you're not using 'em. I've managed to everything in the body as a rhino except the 2x heavy bolter piece.

I donno why, but that brings to mind an image from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In the begining where the Nest team deployed on ATV out of the back of a truck... I'm having images of a Land Raider-esque vehicle pulling 75mph across the table, opening a rear hatch and deploying a team of Space Marine bikes.... oh... I half way want to do that now.
