Spazmonkey
let me know how it goes. The great thing about it is if you pop the BW, cause we are the mighty wolves we can split fire lol, so hvy bolters and rkt shoot the orcs that came out of the BW, while you x2 las can try and pop another BW. ( asuming your not getting charged) even then your razor back has could pop one as well.... How angry would the orc player get if you popped the BW he sends back to get you and then pop another on from the rear the next tun with your laz or razor back..... of course it could all go the other way but hey you dont know unless you try.... glory or death!!!!!!! I'm also thinking about getting rid of a GH pack and replace them with a Vindicator. That would leave me 4 TDA WG and Njal, 10 GH's, 2 LW's, 12 LF's and a Vindie in my deployment zone. Is this too little? I will have 2 Dreads Podding and another GH pack podding too, plus my IG allies' tanks. Hmm. I think it'll be alright. If I pop those transports before they get to me, I'll have some serious firepower waiting for them. Here's my list for reference: Ork Doom Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183014-meganobz/page/2/#findComment-2165462 Share on other sites
Spazmonkey
The only issue i see is it only leaves you with x2 scoring units, but if your playing to the death not a big deal.... the lone wolves will depend on how you kit them out. they may be points better spent on more grey hunters or even more WG termis.... you can never have to many TH SS termis against nobs and mega nobs..... ( so i found out the hard way ) I went for Arjac with my WG termis over Njal. Though as many will point out, Njal's JOTww are effective orcs , due to their low int. Marshal Wilhelm
lol vindicator for the win, sit it behind your line of fire, wait for the wagons to get close and boom, then once the nobs are out of the wagon start dropping templates on them....I was thinking about this very option. I have been debating the actuall value of a whirlwind vs the vindi. Against nobs and battle wagons the vindi may be the way to go... With that in mind you could start a unit of long fangs in a razorback with twin link laz, Start with the razor back on the far side of the board to your main force and as far forward as you can. Use the razorback to out flank, and expose the weaker rear/side armor of the battle wagons. I like your Razorback side attack plan. Shhneaky. Muahhahahaah! I think I am just going to reply Vindicator to posts and 9 times out of 10 it'll be a goer. The naive will think I'm a genius. The wise will point out "he says that all the time.... he's not inspired at all" and then the masses will say "Don't bismirch the Oracle lest we flame ye naysayers" Oracle Marshall Wilhelm. Mum always said I was special. I think I need a lie down, I've gotten all excited.... The dirty Orc lover Im playing is a very sneaky chap, so i thought id better come up with a few sneaky tricks of my own.... This will be a pure annihilation game. I'll have a fiddle around with my list and see what I can do.
