Any word on when other Legions will get books?

Concerning IW in the HH, I asked Graham McNeill quite recently about whether there was an IW novel being planned and sadly he said nothing had reached his ears

Further questions I prodded him with revealed that if there was ever going to be one for an our legion then he would be putting his hand up to write it (I would enjoy it thoroughly due to his Storm of Iron novel :FA: )

Also, as a personal thing im hoping that if they do do an IW novel within the HH they dont just centre it on the events of Olympia with a little extra each way.

Yeah I would like to see some other background besides Olympia, but it is the obvious choice for a focus.

My guess is that the book would probably start with the IW assaulting a planet, maybe the Hrud (thats who they were fighting prior to the Olympia rebellion right?) and then switching back to the home world.

Awesome, we will get to read about Space Skaven being hunted by IW in that case :P (ignore that boring Xenology book! :D )

What? Xenology was awesome. :) Anyway, with regards to the "big twist", based on things that I've heard...

When Rogal Dorn finds the Emperor and Horus on the battlebarge after their final showdown, it is in fact Horus who is the twisted corpse and the Emperor who is naught but a smoking suit of armour. Thus Horus has to be plugged into the Golden Throne to keep it running, and the Emperor's spirit can ascend to god-hood/oblivion (delete as appropriate).

You heard it here first!

thats impossible, been discussed in various fluff threads over the years. nice to chat about but ultimatley, impossible. why?

If horus really was on the golden throne he 1. does not possess the pskyer ability required to hold to forces of chaos at bay like the emperor does now, and 2. due to this, the enitre imperium would now be under the the rule of chaos. which it is not.

I definitly hate audio books, could anyone tell me what the hell is good about them? Does anyone actually enjoy them? Sigh...

I really like Raven Guard too and which i had a proper novel coming for them not some ^_^ thing you have to listen too.

Does anyone know if the Iron Hands are going to get anything, their part in Fulgrim was awesome would love to here more about the, o and Ferrus Manus has to be in the top three most wicked primarch out there.

Battle for the Abyss was really random, the only reason i kept reading is because i just love good action novels, that include space marines of course. But the plot was just so bad, and the way they depicted the ship as this uberhuge flying forteress/city gets owned by that tiny ship and its few space marines ship, and o hell how it influences the whole battle between the Ultramarines and the Word Bearers... please, but im off topic...

Last thing how do you take out those bloody black blocks that come up when someone talks about a spoiler.

Yes, but...

1. Horus had bad-ass psychic powers (courtesy of his pact with Chaos) that he used in his final duel with the Emperor. If he didn't then there wouldn't have been anything he could have done to stop the Emperor's psychic attacks. Besides, I believe it's been stated that all the Primarchs had psychic potential, but most of them chose to leave that potential untapped.

2. Ah, but it would just be Horus' spirit powering the golden throne, it's not like whoever is on the golden throne is actually making Imperial policy decisions. ;)

Heh, yes but seriously though I think it's unlikely, and I'd be a bit disappointed if that was the twist. That's just what I've heard though, I won't try and defend it. :)

Personally I love the audio books, they're perfect to listen to on my long trip to work. Also, I'm sure most of us have back-logs of unpainted minis desperate for attention, so why not listen to an audio book while painting? :)

Just hi-light them with your cursor, and all will become clear. ;) They're just black text on black backgrounds.

but your forgetting something very important and super obvious! (im not using spoliers now as this is in no way a spoiler anymore)

if horus really was on the golden throne holding back the tide of chaos as the emperor does now... wouldnt he just... i dont know... not?

why would the chosen of chaos hold back chaos from taking over the imperium...? it just makes no sense.

Horus would love choas to take over as then the chaos gods would assend his rotting carcass and spirit to daemonhood.

I was referring to the fact that Xenology changed the Hrud from their previous guise of 'space-skaven' into some kind of gaseous-swamp beast ^_^

There were originally transripts of the Lightning Tower and the Dark King, the previous HH audio-book release, and understandably they were tiny!

I agree that perhaps eventually it might be an idea to release all of the short story audio-books into some kind of anthology, but I actually quite enjoy the atmosphere of the audio-books (and its something you can put on in the car if you have a long trip! :))
