I picked this chap up from Ebay on a crazy whim months and months ago, he was so thickly cacked in silver paint, and so bust up, Ithought I had made a daft mistake. However, after soaking in oven cleaner for a looooong time (three months to be exact) the paint finally loosened and fell off! Any how, after some pinning and repair work, I decided that (with the advent of my nex in progess SW army) to take advantage of the option to take 2 twin linked autocannons... As I see this dreadnought supporting long fangs, the 'non comatative' look of the model seemed appropriate. Anyhow, it was a bitch cuting of the ammo drums and re attaching to even out the weapons loadout, but I like the look. Anyway, I'll update this as i go, please comment and let me know what you think! I think it sucks that the DA don't get mortis dreads but their long-term rivals do! :( Congratulations on cleaning that model up so well, it looks almost brand new! As i was reading your post i was attaching the weapons to the dread body in my head and i ended up with the weapons mounted side-by-side as on titan weapons. That may be the reason that when i scrolled down and saw how you mounted them it looks a little odd. The cannons mounted above the 'shoulder' look a bit out of place. That's just my opinion though. I was going for an almost 'AT AT Gun' look for him, I was worried it looked a little odd, and did try it with the longer barrels on top, I admit I didn't consider side by side! I've just painted the metalics, and the guns look much more like a 'pair' now. God I wish I hadn't !!!!!! got some of the marines saved and painted up, 2 androids in the bits box, no orks traded at some point. might hit up ebay now.
