Jarl Bloodwolf
is the Chooser of the slain modeled on the miniature or is it a seperate model to itself? Njal's is represented on his model but in the other post about Choosers people talked as if they wer a seperate model? im confused Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183221-chooser-of-the-slain/ Share on other sites
jimmyjames2112
Honestly it doesnt matter. use an objective marker. what ever. Njal is differnt though. i would recomnd getting an actual base because his can attack... so the big questin is does he cause the chooser to B2B when he enters in combat? or does Night wing stay where you chose to put him. then just strike at the modle you choose regardless of distance? muzzyman1981
The chooser is another marker placed on the table. For Njal his model is the base from which the Chooser attacks are based from. The Chooser marker can be whatever you wish it to be as long as it is smaller than the base of the Rune Priest. Toasterfree
Nightwing is on Njal. I would say that since the raven is part of the model, if you have LOS to Njal, then the effects of the chooser take place and he gets +1 BS to that unit. Grey Mage
Id agree with that interpretation... but frankly, RAW it seems like you have to place the marker on a terrain peice somewhere, and then use it as normal- despite him being on Njal at the same time, pecking peoples eyes out. Valerian
There you guys go, trying to think again; it's not necessary to think, just do what tells you to do in the rules. 1. Place a Chooser marker on the table somewhere and use it to deny Infiltrators and help with BS. 2. When Njal is in close combat Nightwing gets to peck at enemy eyes at I5. Don't worry about the fact that Nightwing might be halfway across the table, just pretend he flies over to attack, then flies back to his post if you fel the need to justify it. V ^^^^^^ yep.... this is one of those time when you can actually read the codex and do just what it says. i even think that in Njal's entry it states that Nightwing flies down to attack then goes back.
