The images of the bolts themselves are very misleading when you see the size of the boltgun in comparison to a human holding it. But this is off topic. and i dont want this post to be based off of fluff Frankly this is one of the main ways to judge which legion would be suitable to work with another because it gives them character. for example i believe that the White Scars and the Space Wolves would cooperate well cuz there both kind of wild. The only reason you can come to this conclusion is from the Fluff. If there was no fluff for these chapters they would be bland nothing and each legion would be exactly the same as the others. It's the fluff that makes these chapters wild. It throws your reasoning out. Pre-heresy I think everyone would have got on relatively well, the exceptions being the World Eaters and Night Lords for both their primarchs and subsequently their marines being a few sandwiches short of a packed lunch. Wolves and World Eaters. Both close combat nutters, superstitious about psykers, and both have a predilection for axes. Adding to that, according to the HH book, Battle of the Abyss, not many legions liked/approved of the Thousand Sons' methods neither ;). Emperor's Children and Space Wolves are often pictured with longer hair, so I guess going on playground principles those guys will get on well together? Where do the skin head World Eaters fit into this? Maybe we need to look at other things, such as taste in wall decoration or shoe-lining, or other irrelevancies which are not mentioned in any of the books? And seeming how this topic is going to be somewhat crazy and in no way serious, lets just say; Some Legions that might get along; Dark Angels and Word Bearers.... they seem to buy all their robes from the same supplier (Robes R Us?, Introduce a friend and get a discount to your next batch of robes?). Raven Guard and the Emperor's Children - birdwatchers anonymous meetings can make people great comrades. Death Guard and Night Lords....Theres an unhealthy obsession with the ol' skulls there. And some that won't; Iron Warriors & Imperial Fists - Theres an old joke about Iron Warriors and a sand castle which I think could easily work if there was an Imperial Fist there. Iron Warriors & Night Lords - Entire conversations revolving around "Your paranoid", "No! Your paranoid!", "No, you are!", "NO! YOU!". Ultramarines & ....pretty much everyone else. Imagine it, you and your sibling hanging out, playing a game, and your sibling continuely telling you your playing it wrong, that you have no idea what your doing and they know better. Then you shout at them, and storm out of there. Now imagine if you and your sibling had power armour, demi-god like abilities and the greatest combat weapons created by Man........I wonder if Guilliman's nose was continuely broken from telling his brothers they were fighting wrong? World Eaters and Space Wolves to unleash some close combat killiness on everyone Blood Angels and Emperors Children, fighting people and looking good while doing it, pretty in pink and red, they were made for each other. Word Bearers and Ultramarines, because nobody else wants to play with them Alpha Legion and Alpha Legion, split them up, give half to each primarch, and there ya go (WE ARE LEGION!!!) Night lords, World Eaters, and Blood Angels because all of their primarchs have issues (Konrad is awesome!!!) Custodes and Thousand Sons, Why not? The Emperor fighting side by side with Magnus, two powerful sorcerers being all awesome together Ferrus Mannus and Mortarion and Perturabo, I think that would be pretty sick.
