WolfLordLars
Got stuck in the office today, so going to be painting. Man, I love my job. <_< Anyway, trying a few different color schemes, but am stuck with the shoulder pads. Representing the Great Wolf's company, so would they bear his icon, or the icon of the great wolf? Anyone know what color background to use for that symbol? Representing the Great Wolf's company, so would they bear his icon, or the icon of the great wolf? Anyone know what color background to use for that symbol? When a Wolf Lord becomes Great Wolf, his Great Company automatically uses the emblem of the Great Wolf - The Wolf That Stalks Between The Stars. It would be a black background. WolfLordLars
I wonder if there is any precedent for them still using the old symbol? I have about a half-dozen old SW Transfer sheets.. but not sure it will be enough to put them all on there. Warhorse47
Well, I started using red pad with the Walking Wolf a looooong time ago and that's what I'm staying with. Especially since we don't have a white decal for the wolf. WolfLordLars
Damn, I was afraid of that. Might do a white background with a black wolf.. hmm... WolfLordLars
*grumble* White wont work for the base color either. So now I am stuck between the SW Yellow (which I hate) or going with a Shaow Grey for under the shoulder pad. Hmmm... Brothers? Opinions? Probably going to use Logans great company symbol on most of the troops, with the symbol of the great wolf for special models (not rank and file) because of the difficulty of painting the black with white wolf. So, for the rank and file, yellow or shaodw grey under the symbol? DV8
Paint a medium grey onto the pad, then apply the transfer, paint the transfer white, then paint black around it. WolfLordLars
I might give that a try. Going to be 'dipping' them with the army painter stuff, so should I put the transfer on before or after? Grey Mage
Im TOLD you can paint around the edge of the transfer to seal it in, and that then itll be unaffected by that instant-shading stuff.
