Need a numbers pro

Depends who gets the charge.

10 Zerks with powerfist champ = 250

(40 attacks on the charge, WS5, I5, Str5, need 3's and 3's and then you make saves)

36/24/16 saves(5.3 fail), the fist will kill 2.22 ..

6 chosen with 5 twin claws, 1 champ and Icon of Khorne = 248

(21 LC attacks, 4 regular hitting on 4's, wounding on 4's claws reroll failures, then you make a few saves if the LC-less dude hurt ya)

7.875 dead marines by the claws, the 4 attack dude will be a measly 0.33 'deaths', pushing them just over 8 kills.

Difference is that the zerks are scoring. Zerks have 10 bodies. Zerks hit first against most things they charge, and have str5 to hurt vehicles/monsters easier. More attacks for numerous foes, and mass attacks to do well against armored foes alike since numbers count. Zerks win in the odds.

Icon of slaanesh on the chosen, and its not that different but in the end your being sub-par for a non scoring unit.

Hmm i thought so, Zerkers have the the advantage vs MC and tanks and tie for Meq. What about against termis, and the like?

My wolf foe has a habit of getting in my face and counter-attack hurts, although my chaos lords got lucky and rolled a 5 and a 6 for extra attacks winning me the game, I don't like being out fought against pansy loylist.

Counter attack wont counter much if you hit first when you charge. Fists instant kill anything without eternal warrior, and the I5, Str5 will get a more general killyness.

If your really facing that however, I suggest abusing your more shooty units to beat on his. Namely defilers, since they can assault decently without JOTWW being a pain.

I would say that if you run chosen, outflank them with claws, icon of slaanesh and 10 models strong with the 5 TLC's at 300 pts for the unit. Add in a few meltabombs if you want to be general with them. They will do damage when they arrive. Though they may be spendy to do so.
