Indeed, however the representation of Bjorn the Fellhanded is wrong. He either has the Auto-cannon or the Plasma Cannon, NOT the TLHB's shown. Should've just done it canon or named it a Ven Dread. Just sayin'.

It says they were dug from the archives, perhaps he had a TLHB option in the 2nd ed codex? I don't know as I never owned it, and at the end of the day its the way he interprets it. I can imagine Bjorn using whatever he bloody well pleases, he's ten thousand years old!

technically marines have a form of gigantism (think thats how you spell it) so he would have very out of proportion features, and the muscle mass would have been enhanced. think along the lines of some of the goliath models. however at that scale it would have looked wrong i think, also i think he wanted the scout to look more wiry and sinewy rather than a beefcake.

i really liked it when i saw it, it had some nice touches on the base too.

2nd Ed he was fitted with the Assault Cannon no option for exchanging it with anything else, that came in the last Dex with the optional Plasma Cannon. Awesome job, just not precise in naming it Bjorn. Should've named it a Ven. Just sayin'.

For arguments sake, I'll include some biology. Rather than just increasing the sheer mass of the musculature on a space marine (ex. adding more on top of more) they most likely also developed a way into increase its density, quite like a lizards. A lizards muscle bundles are much denser than humans, thus they give out considerably greater power. As shown in current competitive human body builders, the nearest thing we have to a MEQ  , their vast musculature actually begins to crush them. If preventative steps aren't taken (ex. special stretching everyday), they will, literally, be crushed by their own mass as their muscles begins to tighten. My point being, if Space Marines are heavily muscled and extremely strong, it would have been in the Emperors best interest to design their muscles to be far denser rather than just piling on mounds of muscles mass. Not to say they aren't considerably larger and quite ripped, just that they don't need to look like freaks of nature in order to be inhumanly strong. I'm sure being 9 feet tall doesn't hurt the whole distribution of mass either. So, in theory, that Wolf Scout could be just as strong as we expect a Space Marine to be. Further more, we don't have a standard human model standing next to him to show off the differential in size and mass. In reality, that Wolf Scout would probably dwarf a human body builder considerably while still not looking ridiculous. I mean really, have you seen some of those body builders? They look so goofy to me  They can't even scratch their own backs!

More dense musculature, wouldn't that make the marine sink when in water?

The strength could come from the braing firing stronger? I'v seen a woman at about 50-60kg deadlifting about 150kg. Don't remember exatctly where she failed, but still, about 150 is alot of weight. Not sure how that works..

That Sven figure is really impressive, any ideas on how he made it so feral looking?

Nope, in 2nd edition he had a Lightning claw, Heavy Flamer and an Assault Cannon...

Was mentioning specifically the depicted choice of the TLHB versus the Assault cannon. The Lightning Claw and Flamer were never a point of contention. Happened to have my 2nd Ed Dex with me last night at work.

Well, musculature will make you sink anyhow. It's not very buoyant, so people that are heavily built tend to sink in water any how. Not to mention Marines wear like 1 ton of armor or something, plus weapons and equipment. I don't think they float. Unless they have really big orange floaties
