Vlk
I'm building an army with Redmaw's Great Company markings as I love the MotW and Grey Hunters. While searching for the relevant fluff on Redmaw, I found this in the 3rd ed codex: "Bran Redmaw, bloody-handed warrior, he piles the skulls of his enemies, he builds a mound of the fallen, his foes weep rivers of blood." along with a wonderful picture of Redmaw (supposedly) cutting off an Eldar's head with an axe. The very same verses can be found in the new codex - but suddenly, there is "Logan Grimnar" instead of "Bran Redmaw"! What am I supposed to believe? Is that a mistake? Was Phil Kelly too lazy to write a new saga for the Old Wolf? Did anyone else notice it? I want that saga for my Wolf Lord to whom it rightfully belongs! Warhorse47
When they woke up Bjorn, they found out a new skald has misquoted the verse. Or else, it is a common verse that can be used for any great warrior. SeanyPrawny
I believe it was in 2nd ed. for grimnar anyway and they changed it in 3rd. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183475-grimnar-vs-redmaw/#findComment-2170022 Share on other sites
Duke Corwin
SeanyPrawny is correct. In the first Space Wolves Codex the poem was about Logan Grimnar. For some reason it was changed in the second codex. It has now been corrected in the third (new) codex.
