robnik_35
This is a piece I made up a couple weeks ago, I'm fairly happy with it, although next time I think I'll do more of a rolling hill for the pillbox rather than the rocky outcropiing that it sits on now. I do like a bit of a cliff face on the firing side though. I seem to have gotten the hang on using the static grass applicator, as the grass is looking really great now, and combined with the other ground textures, looks pretty sharp. Lots of practice time to get there though. http://www.red-dragon-terrain.com/uploads/2/7/1/5/2715769/9172011.jpg http://www.red-dragon-terrain.com/uploads/2/7/1/5/2715769/8930365.jpg http://www.red-dragon-terrain.com/uploads/2/7/1/5/2715769/1336521.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183608-trench-sysytem-and-bunker/ Share on other sites
Vadskær
Great looking terrain-piece there mate! :geek: Just a suggestion: how about lowering the bunker more into the terrain, so it doesn't create such a high profile? For reference, check the web for period photos from Hitlers atlantic wall  /vadskær Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183608-trench-sysytem-and-bunker/#findComment-2171183 Share on other sites
Anwolf
cool piece of terrain, what did you make the bunker out of? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183608-trench-sysytem-and-bunker/#findComment-2171282 Share on other sites
robnik_35
I like that idea to dig in the bunker a bit. I think I'll try that on the next one. I have an idea of how to do it fairly easily...I hink I might try today actually. Anybody want the building pics shown? The bunker is made from Hirst Art bricks. Thats the sci-fi station builder mold at work there. You have probably seen his stuff before, he makes a huge variety of molds. robnik_35
These are some pics of the new update. I added some more particulars on my website at Red Dragon Terrain http://www.red-dragon-terrain.com/uploads/2/7/1/5/2715769/5259957.jpghttp://www.red-dragon-terrain.com/uploads/2/7/1/5/2715769/889004.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183608-trench-sysytem-and-bunker/#findComment-2181912 Share on other sites
IronDuke
Nice terrain, it looks good. My only issue with it is that the bunker looks too smooth, although this could just be personal taste. Possibly give it a coat of textured paint, which could help add a more realistic feel to it. Aside from that, great! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/183608-trench-sysytem-and-bunker/#findComment-2183821 Share on other sites
robnik_35
The bunker texture was a bit of a question for me, but the color was even more so.. I elected, as you can see, to keep it a concrete grey, although I think I might repaint the bunker in a broad pattern camo scheme, which would add to the concealed look of the low bunker.
