ok ive got my new space wolves army going and heres what i have built at the mo

1-wolf lord, termi armor, wolf claws

7-wolf guard, termi armor, wolf claws

land raider crusader

1-lone wolf, termi armor, wolf claws

1-lone wolf, termi armor, wolf claws

9 blood claws, rhino

9 blood claws, rhino

each led by a wgbl with wolf claws

(the idea at the mo is just 2 drive/run in and rip everything apart, how tactical is that lol)

this just enough 2 start playing with, i also have: 20 grey hunters, 10 sky claws, 10 wolf scouts, 10 long fangs left 2 build.

not sure on which weaponry 2 use for the scouts?

i just found some old lotr wargs i could use as F-wolves not sure tho?

btw i am not a big fan of IC or rune priests/bikes/land speeders or tanks that just shoot sorry just my opinion.

the idea i am going for is wolf claws and meltaguns amap.

tell me what you think?

i am open 2 suggestions on how i could improve my army, thanks for the help.

Give your scouts a meltaun, meltabombs and if you can afford it a plasma pistol because at the minute I see a problem with anti-tank weaponry, a lot of your stuff you have to get close with so scouts should help with that, I'd say equip five if your Long Fangs with a mi of lascannons and missile launchers to provide some decent ranged anti-tank.

Also I know it's your theme but I have a feeling that your WG pack might want at least one thunder hammer/storm shield in there, shame you've already built them.

I like the fact you're giving Blood Claws a go though, especially in rhinos as that was something I used to do quite a bit.

Hopefully someone else will come along and make more sense.

I would equiped scouts in melta bombs, meltagun, and maybe plasma pistol (just to be sure, that targeted tank will not survive).

i don't like idea of anti infatry Lone Wolf. You've got other units (lots of them) for dealing with infantry.

Too many terminators, and too few regular troops could be pain in the assault cannon, when you have to capture objectives. I would take at least 3 units (2GH and 1BC) with me.

thanks guys. 1 thing i forgot 2 say is im not going 2 use this as a full army as i dont play that many high points games so alot of my army is optional thats why i have alot of grey slayers (the 20 i sed were just the bolter armed ones i have others with melta/plasma guns and power fists)

i like the lone wolves there like a mini HQ for half the pts and i had 2 termis spare from the 10 that fit in the land raider.

whats the word on dreadnoughts? bjorn /ven or standard or none at all?

lotr wargs as fen wolves? legal/right scale any one use them?

don't wanna buy anything else this year unless its a must have.

ill sort out pics when done and some planed army lists.

10 termies in a land raider? That is not possible.

Wargs are more like hyenas than wolves. But they are turney legal (they are GW after all).

I still havn't played with the new dex, but i think i would take ragular drednought. Bjorn is too expensive for my taste, and ven dread... well I have to play with it and check out.
